Technical Info:
This was taken on a black and white film camera and developed in a darkroom by me. I am afraid I do not remember all the exact settings, but I can assure you that it was a shallow depth of field around 2.0-3.5 because the background is blurred out while the foreground is still sharp

Review
For this photograph, I wanted her accessories to be the main focus because in the shoot we already focused on the different parts of her outfit. When doing a fashion shoot, it is important to highlight as many different parts of the outfit as you can. However, make sure to get an overall shot as well. I decided to have her face and part of her necklace cut off to give it a little bit more interesting framing. If it were just her profile, the necklace and earring would not be highlighted. However with cutting parts out it shows the viewer what is the focus while still giving the context of the photo. There is enough of the model that the viewer can fill in the rest of her face with his or her imagination.

The lighting in this photo was very interesting. It was shot outside on a semi-sunny day. For this photo, I made sure that the accessories were picking up a hint of sunlight. That is why I waited until around sunset to shoot this photo. In the darkroom I had a lot of freedom to pick where I wanted the photo to be blown out or not. This photo is a little over exposed as seen in the very bright whites in the top left and bottom right corners. I did this kind of on purpose in the darkroom, but the original over exposure was done by accident. This goes to show that a photo can look good even if it is not 100% correctly exposed. You can manipulate the exposure to get the story you want across. It was not important that her face was over exposed because the focus of the photo, her earring and necklace, were properly exposed. Just remember the highlight of your photo should be in focus, properly exposed, and easy to find.
